Its dimensions—84 x 175 mm—are uniquely Japanese and may seem unusual to those overseas. The cover is wrapped in a deep navy cloth. Minimal and free from excess, its design blends seamlessly into any setting. Inside, a black backing sheet provides stability, allowing you to write steadily even without a desk. Each of these thoughtful details reflects the perspective of Japanese bookbinding craft.
For the pages, we chose Kasadakashi—a lightweight, bulky paper that combines a soft thickness with a pleasant texture. It offers a subtle resistance to the pen, while allowing ink to show vividly on the surface. Each stroke, each note, brings out the reliability and joy of writing on carefully selected paper.
Line: Five horizontal rules at 10 mm intervals, designed for both vertical and horizontal writing. Free and unconstrained, it adapts to your way of thinking.
Grid: A 5 mm grid that extends across the entire page without margins. It invites precise sketches, detailed records, and writing that reaches all the way to the edge.
