Background
This special-edition Memo Block was created in collaboration with Blok Design, a Toronto-based studio that led the design and visual direction for the urban research project “Impossible Toronto.” Blok Design shaped the project’s visual identity, translating its exploration of the city’s future into both publication and digital form. At ITO BINDERY, this vision was expressed through paper craft, giving tangible form to the project’s philosophy in the shape of a Memo Block. The black-foiled title on the recycled cardboard base conveys quiet strength and presence — a product imbued with structural beauty that reflects the relationship between city and design.

About Impossible Toronto
Impossible Toronto, an initiative of the Neptis Foundation, asks a simple yet profound question: What does the future of the city look like—and what should it look like? Developed by Studio VAARO and Gabriel Fain Architects, the project introduces the courtyard block as a new architectural typology for Toronto. Through both publication and immersive website, it invites us to rethink how we design, build, and live in the evolving city.
